Excel with Confidence. Train to Win.

May 27 – June 1, 2024

Student Program

DUCON’s mission is to use the classical ballet art form to train and transform students to be the very best version of themselves; not only in technique and artistry, but also in character building which includes the students’ ability to be empathetic and compassionate to others.

The first five days of the program will consist of technique classes & variation coaching sessions led by our master teachers.

This portion is designed to build stronger foundations in ballet technique and drive confidence in dancers by helping them see noticeable progress.

Formerly known as the Mock Competition, all students will perform their solo variation on stage to receive direct feedback from our jury.

This ties in with The Training and it is designed to prepare students for upcoming competitions, develop their stage presence, and elevate their confidence through results.

In addition to the solo variations, the dancers will perform ensemble pieces of ballet repertory.

The process in which students prepare for ensemble pieces is an integral part of a dancer’s training and education

LVL 3/4 Program is designed for older, more experienced dancers who are looking for more challenge and guidance in their ballet training. If the dancer 11 years old or older and want to get more personalized coaching and guidance, this would be a better fit.

If the dancer hasn’t increased weekly training hours yet, but would still like to get some coaching and preparation for competitions, LVL 2 Program will be greatly beneficial.

We do not recommend this program for absolute beginners in ballet. Students must be familiar with ballet terminology with at least 1 year of ballet experience.

Having previous pointe experience is not a requirement for LVL 3 & LVL 4 program. Students will still benefit from the pre-pointe/pointe classes if they join in flat shoes.

If your child has numerous years of ballet experience and is looking for a new challenge in classical ballet training, we recommend the upper level programs.
